BRONZE GROUP with brown patina inspired by an Antiquity work entitled The Dying Gaul (Galata Morente)
The original of this sculpture is in the collections of the Capitoline Museums, Rome. It is a Roman marble copy of a lost Greek original, probably executed in bronze, commissioned between 230-220 B.C. by Attalus I of Pergamon to commemorate his victory over the Celtic Galatians.
